On Tuesday last week a group of 50 Year 10s set off to the Brighton Dome for the Science Live! Ultimate Enrichment Day.

This was a great opportunity for students to hear from scientists who are passionate in a range of fields, talk about recent developments and what excites them. There were talks from five of Britain’s top scientists, all working at the cutting edge of their specialism

• Professor Andrea Sella

• Dr Giles Yeo

• Professor Sophie Scott

There were also words of wisdom from an experienced Science GCSE Examiner who gave top tips for exam success.

This was an exciting, fast-moving and thought-provoking day for our GCSE students, who all really benefited from the experience.
