An Epic Night of Movie Music at the Royal Albert Hall
8th June 2026
Last week, a group of lucky music students visited one of the most iconic concert venues in the world, the Royal Albert Hall, for an unforgettable evening of cinematic soundtracks performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The trip was all about experiencing music beyond the classroom, and it certainly delivered. The Film Music Gala took the audience on a musical journey through some of the most famous film scores ever written. The orchestra didn’t hold back, delivering powerful and dramatic renditions of classic scores. One minute, students were on the edge of their seats reliving the action-packed thrills of Mission: Impossible and Indiana Jones, and the next they were transported into the magical worlds of Harry Potter and KPop Demon Hunters!
What made the experience even more special was seeing such a large professional orchestra up close. The trip wasn’t just entertaining, it was inspiring. For many of the students, it was a reminder of the power of music in storytelling and a chance to see what their own musical journeys could lead to in the future.
