Triumphs and Trophies, Sports Awards 2026

27th March 2026

Our annual Sports Awards were bigger, louder and prouder than ever this year and for the first time, we hosted them right here at school in the Sports Hall! The new venue meant we could welcome parents and carers, who helped make the night even more special with plenty of cheers, applause and proud smiles all around.

A massive well done to all the nominees, but special congratulations go to our award winners:

Sports Person of the Year - Ryan Sewanonda
His commitment, skill and incredible attitude made him a stand‑out winner.

Young Sports Person of the Year - Chloe Compton
A rising star with bags of potential and a brilliant work ethic.

Team of the Year - Year 7 Girls Football
They’ve had an amazing year, full of talent, dedication and some seriously impressive games.

Coach of the Year - George Broad
Recognised for his passion, energy and the unwavering support he gives to every student he works with.

We were lucky enough to have Frank Vincent, Dorking Wanderers first‑team player come along to present some football academy awards and we also celebrated students who model our school values every single day:

Aspire Award - Dylan Willis
Innovate Award - Isla Mellis
Respect Award - Zach Simon

We were also delighted to welcome James Rodwell as our special guest speaker. He delivered an inspiring message about resilience, teamwork and pushing through challenges - and students absolutely loved the photo opportunities afterwards!

Adding to the excitement, our amazing medal‑winning cheerleaders delivered a brilliant half‑time performance packed with energy, stunts and smiles. They definitely brought the sparkle!

The evening was a celebration of every student who trains hard, shows commitment and represents the school with pride. Huge congratulations to all our winners - and to everyone involved for helping create such a fantastic event. Roll on next year’s awards!
