Staff See Red on Comic Relief
23rd March 2026
The annual Red Nose Day Staff vs Year 11 Netball Match returned once again with its usual mix of chaos, competitiveness, and questionable dodging techniques - and this year, the final score said it all!
Despite turning up with confidence, the staff team were thrashed 10–4 by an absolutely relentless Year 11 squad who showed no mercy from the first whistle.
A special shout‑out to Mr Lockhart, who heroically scored all four of the staff’s goals. Without him, the scoreboard would’ve looked even more tragic!
The rest of the staff team put in a spirited performance, showcasing a mix of enthusiasm, determination, and occasional confusion about footwork rules. But let’s be honest: the Year 11s were just too sharp, too fast, and frankly too good.
A big round of applause has to go to the Year 9 referees, who kept the match running smoothly. Their calm decision‑making, firm whistle‑blowing, and ability to ignore "constructive feedback" from staff players made them the true MVPs of the afternoon.
The score may not have gone the staff’s way, but the atmosphere was brilliant, spirits were high, and plenty of money was raised for a great cause. And after all, isn’t that what Red Nose Day is all about?
