Earlier this term, our brilliant Year 7 and 8 students put their maths skills to the test in the National Junior Maths Challenge.

Held in the sports hall, the atmosphere was focused (and just a little bit tense!) as students tackled a range of tricky, brain-teasing questions. The challenge isn’t your average classroom worksheet, these questions are designed to really stretch problem-solving skills and test logical thinking.

And we’re proud to say our students did us proud!  

A special shout-out goes to two of our maths superstars, who performed so well that they’ve made it through to the prestigious Junior Kangaroo round of the challenge. This next stage is by invitation only and features some of the top young mathematicians in the country. We’ll be cheering them on all the way!

Well done to everyone who took part, you’ve shown amazing perseverance, sharp thinking, and a real love of learning. We can't wait to see even more students give it a go next year!
