Last week, school was buzzing as Year 6 students from local primary schools came to visit for their Year 7 Induction Day.

On arrival, students were given a scratch card which revealed what tutor group they were in and, after much excitement finding out who was in the same tutor group, everyone went to their tutor rooms to get to start getting to know each other. Then it was time for guided tours around the school, where they explored classrooms, the sports halls, and all the cool spaces they’ll get to use once they officially join us.

Lunch was a hit too - delicious and a great chance to relax and chat with their new classmates. After refuelling, students dived into a taster lesson to get a sneak peek at what lessons at secondary school are really like. 

Later that evening, parents and carers were invited in to meet tutors, ask questions, and find out more about what’s ahead. It was a great opportunity for families to feel involved and get a better idea of the support available.
