Focus on Phoenix Project '25

5th December 2025

Our Phoenix Project is taking place again this year with a new group of fourteen Year 8 students ready to get involved in all the special activities we have arranged for them. The aim of the Project is to raise aspirations across the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

Each of the experiences are added to their portfolio, with information about what they feel they learn about themselves being added throughout the year. At the end of the year all students will present to their parents what they have learned.

Winter Term 25

This term our Phoenix Project students have visited Earlswood Junior School and the University of Kent.

At Earlswood Junior School students led Reading Workshops for Year 3 students and applied what they had learned in Dorset by running team-building activities with the children.

During their visit to the University of Kent, students toured the campus, enjoyed lunch with university students, and took part in a campus-wide scavenger hunt.

To round off the term students had a fantastic trip to London to see the West End production of Oliver! There was time for a cheeky McDonalds and a stop at the M&Ms store!

Come back soon to find out what the Phoenix Project get up to in the Spring Term!

Autumn Term 25

This year’s Phoenix Project kicked off in September with an unforgettable team-building adventure in Dorset. Students camped out for three nights and took part in a variety of challenges designed to strengthen teamwork and build lasting connections.
