A Trip of Two Halves, 11s See Jekyll & Hyde Live
9th March 2026
Year 11 swapped their usual lessons for something far more thrilling last week: a live performance of Jekyll & Hyde at the New Wimbledon Theatre.
The set was dark and shadowy, the music was tense, and the actors wasted no time pulling everyone straight into Dr. Jekyll’s troubled world. The performance struck the perfect balance between theatrical flair and educational value. Key moments from the text were brought to life with clever staging and lighting effects that showed just how quickly Jekyll’s experiments spiral out of control. Hyde’s entrances were especially memorable - sudden, sharp, and just creepy enough to make a few students jump in their seats!
After the show, students had the chance to chat with members of the cast where they had the opportunity to talk about some of the important themes in the set text. We hope that seeing Jekyll & Hyde performed live made the story feel more real, more gripping, and way more enjoyable.
